Beach Rocks

This was another one of the pictures from Rockport I never posted for some reason. I like how the colors turned out in this picture and the green color of the water. If you could see the unedited picture you would know why I like HDR so much, it completely transformed this picture.

Rockport Flower

I’m finding lots of picture I never posted of the Rockport trip that I like. This one I especially like, because of the complementing colors. It really makes the red pop and just has a cool look to it.

Quarry Bush

This was one of my favorite photos from my trip to Rockport with Liz. I like the way the colors turned out. Getting here was a little out of the way of the trail and from here we went in farther into the unknown. We eventually ended up on the beach and worked our way […]

Quarry from the Ice

As you can probably tell, it was very cold in Rockport on February 14th. I was hesitant to go on the ice at first but I knew once I stepped foot on it that there was no way it was buckling. It was at least a foot thick. I took this picture by putting the camera […]

Lonely Tree

I wonder how cities and towns get their name and who gets to decide what a place is called. For example, who came up with Worcester for a city name??? Well, one place I know for sure how it got it’s name. One look at the beach and you can see why this place is […]

Rockport Pano

When Liz and I first got Rockport we stopped in the town to take a look around. We were not prepared for the 40 mph gusts on the coast. As I was taking this Panorama, My tripod almost fell over into the ocean due to the wind. Luckily Liz was there to save it. You […]

While in Rockport with Liz, I knew I wanted to take some shots of the waves. I wanted to do some long exposure shots to see the movement but the landscape was very rocky so it was hard to set up a tripod and on top of that it was extremely sunny so it was […]

Rockport Skyline

When we first got to Rockport on our Valentine’s Day trip. we parked in the town to look around. It was very windy that day, and being right on the coast made it exponentially more windy. We were not prepared for the wind chill on the ledge where this picture was taken. The tripod almost […]

Beach Bush

I took this without looking through the viewfinder so it took me a couple tries to get something I could use. This was on the beach in Rockport. The part of the beach we went to was covered in huge boulders and rocks from the nearby Quarry and this bush was coming out of the […]

Rockport Quarry

For valentines day Liz and I took a trip to Rockport, Massachusetts. Turns out that it is right on the edge of the ocean and has a man made quarry that was completely frozen over. The ice was thick. The building you see in the distance is the informations center and bathroom. The bathrooms were pretty scary it […]
